 I love to decorate my house on a budget and have recently fallen in love with creating beautiful tablescapes for our meals.  Since I have a lot of rowdy children I don't have a lot of nice tableware, but I'm working on it.

Living in North Dakota means nothing is close and finding nice things without spending a mint can be quite a challenge, but it gives me something to do and I love the thrill of the hunt.  I love the high I get when I find a great bargain:)

The name of this blog came about after much thought.  After abandoning several titles with thrifty or decorating in the name, I looked over at my coffee table and spied those antlers.  A few weeks ago, my son Danny brought one of them home.  He found it while out exploring and wondered if I could use it to decorate.  I love that he found such an odd thing and thought of me, so of course I had to use it.  I mentioned how nice it would be to have both and he promptly went looking and actually found the other one!  So there they sit, cradling a candle and fitting right in with our crazy home:)  Turns out they make a really cool centerpiece too!
